Page 15;  Tuners Details:
Serial number plate:
These tuners are original Kluson open strip tuners.

Fine corrosion dust on the tuners, rather than heavier rust, shows that someone in this guitar's distant past did proper maintenance of wiping the tuners down and then dry with a Q-tip or artist brush or such.  All it took to clean them up was to apply a light coat of penetrating oil with a Q-tip, rub a bit with another clean Q-tip and wipe the wet oil off with another clean Q-tip.  They cleaned up quite nicely but I wasn't able to get pictures of them cleaned up.  I posted these pics just in case someone needs a reference in searching for repacements.

Sometimes light corrosion like this takes some thin baking soda & oil paste rubbed with a Q-tip.  Heavier corrosion will take a tooth brush to scrub the oil / soda paste, ....while even heavier corrosion calls for a brass wire brush to scrub the tuners with light oil, ...or a wire brush in a Dremel tool might be required in even heavier corrosion cases.
