For this nominal job I will use a Q-tip, and small screwdriver to push this heavy duty diaper into places to remove any dust and then to apply light polishing and protecting oil and remove it's residue.
Here is the light oil I use as guitar metals cleaning polish. This Ace Lub-E is sprayed lightly on a rag and then applied to the guitar part; Then a clean dry soft rag is used to remove any residue.
Here is the bridge plate prior to wiping it down.
And after applying the oil but not wiped off yet. Also notice that the right half of the bridge saddle has been rubbed with lemon oil and rest remaining so show the contrast for this picture.
Oil wiped leaving only a slight film to protect the parts from hand corrosion. Fibers are lint that has not yet been blown off.
Pickguard was removed to clean up dust that had gotten under it, and to match the polishing of the rest of the body.
