This guitar is extremely rare and in exceptionally Excellent 99% condition. External inspection indicates it would be in Near Mint condition were it not for a very few minor dings and scuffs. (Many dealers & collectors would call it Near Mint. I'm a bit more conservative to avoid disagreements from folks that don't know the fuller professional / industry definitions of guitar conditions). Note: A detailed and invasive inspection involving disassembly might reveal other items not visible or revealed by an external inspection. |
The case is this guitar's original Deluxe plush lined, vinyl covered, press-board case. The only other case made for Harmony Silvertone Sihouette guitars was the Standard case that was this case's shell but had a thinly sprayed-on flock lining. This case is in Very Good to Excellent condition with issues I've noticed marked on these pictures. The White marks around bottom binding below is packing foam "paper" and will remove easily. The metal butt bumper's corner-bottom tab is slightly bent outward and a bit loose, and can be tightend by bending it back and recompressing it's attaching rivets. See additional view 2 pictures further below. Bottom view 2: |

Hmmmmm...... let's see what's inside ! When was the last time you saw a fiberboard's security strap still intact ! ? It is still in Excellent Condition. |

Notice the difference between years of elemental discoloration to the sides of this case and where the lip of the lid protected the sides from the elements and handling, and shows what a good careful light scrubbing and wiping could return the case close to, should a person desire to do so. |

This is a surface stain and should be removeable. |
(1) There is a small corner tab of red plush linking that is loose and could be glued back down if desired. (2) The assessory compartment tab "handle" is frayed. |

The felt tab over this rivet is missing and thus the rivet should be protected from scratching the guitar. |

Assessory compartment open. Still strong and not loose. Notice that the leather hinge tab is still intact. It should be carefully saddle-soaped for longevity if desired. |
