Volume pot before it's lugs are desoldered and cleaned up: |

Into the soldering tree for easy and stable access: |

Desolder the 2 open lugs and dress them with a fine diamond file: |

Filing paint off the inside of the pot shaft mounting holes helping to ensure good ground: |

Pot mounting washers like to have a nice fresh metal surface. Here's before dressing: |

Here's after a sanding & emorying dressing: |

The volume pot casing ground joint solder puddle didn't look adequate for a new fresh solder joint, so I refreshed it with a drop of hot solder. |
||||||||||||||||||||
My trusty pocket compass inspects the magnetic flux lines around the pickup blades to make sure their residual magnetic charge polarity is marked & oriented correctly to the polarity arrangment for the magnets installation. |
