Update 12-16-10:
My graphics hard drive crashed last night, ....'Corrupted Directory'.  I will attempt a 'chkdsk' as soon as possible, and if that doesn't work then take the hard drive in for either a tech to rebuild the directory or transfer the data to CD's prerequiste to exchanging the bad hard drive for a new one;  But for now getting this Steel Guitar's work done is a much higher priority than getting the bad hard disc back up and running.  I will continue to take pics & document the very few items remaining to have this Regal Steel completed, and post them to these webpages when the hard drive problem is rectified.  Documenting this Steel's work will most likely be quite handy if not important for the Customer's subsequent disassembly, custom refinishing and reassembly of this Steel.

------- oOo -------

Tonight I finished installing all of the componants onto this Steel, re-registered some of their positioning that was not exact from the factory but now is.  With all componants installed properly I then ops checked them and found them all working fine.  All of the work is exceptionally good.  I then removed the electronics assembly for it's final top coat of paint (preliminary coats almost always get chipped when assembling a complete refurbishment.

I have dental surgery tommorrow, Dec. 17, but anticipate to still be able to finish all work possible tommorrow.  That will be:
() Painting the top coat and setting it under heat lamp to cure overnight.
() Glue down about 3/4" of the neck heel's binding trailer that I found loose while assembling the Steel     tonight.
() Clean out the plush interior of this Steel's case.
() Wipe down the outside of the case.
() Glue down any fabric tags found during wipe down.

That will leave the work remaining:

() Reinstall the electronics assembly (approx. 1 hour job).
() Install strings and intone bridge during stringing.
() Ops checks with Steel fully reassembled.
() Final wipedown and place in case.
() Deliver or mail to Customer.

I am hoping that nothing will interfere with getting this Steel either delivered to or mailed off to the Customer by Monday, Dec. 20.

I will update text in real here if anything becomes substantially different than the abovesaid estimates.
