Univox 12 String Guitar
Euro-Nippon enters the spacey age!
Previous Owner Reports: AS THE PICTURES SHOW I HAVE A OLD UNIVOX 12 STRING SOLID BODY WITH ITS ORIGINAL CASE. IT HAS THE "TONE" KNOB MISSING, 1 BENT TUNING KEY KNOB, A STRING SADDLE MISSING AND A FEW VERY MINOR DINGS. IT HAS A PART TIME SHORT IN THE JACK. IT HAS A EXCELLENT STRAIGHT NECK AND GOOD FRETS. ALL AND ALL FOR ITS AGE IT IS A GOOD 1960s JAPAN MADE GUITAR. I HAVE 6 SUPERSIZED PICTURES TO SHOW ITS BEAUTY AND NICE CONDITION.
NOTE: At the time this guitar was made Japan did not conform to marking electronic parts with universal dating codes; And Univox did not apply a serial number. So the exact year of this guitar is sill unknown to me. In keeping with Vintage Guitar Industry Standards and those expectations of shoppers for vintage guitars; I do not do any repairs to a vintage guitar UNLESS a customer purchasing an instrument asks me to, other than a wipe down and careful / exacting application of expert anti-corrosion techniques. Should a customer buying this guitar desire, I will open up the guitar to research codes and nuances that are likely on it's electronic componants. A person could do internet research for 'Univox' and likely find reasonably reliable data to date this guitar, even if by comparing some of it's parts to other Univox's parts of known years or eras.
