1940's Blonde MOTS Supro PREVIOUS OWNER REPORTS: Supro Lap Electric Guitar, pick up works, missing some machine head parts, in decent shape otherwise, with old beat up maroon felt lined case. DENNY'S NOTE: Notice the handsome shoulders of the upper bouts. This is one of the rarer Supro / Valco designs; A bit thinner than it's beefier cousins. A really nice Steel. It has a nice, original, plush, deluxe hardshell case that's not in as bad a condition as the non-Musician previous owner reported above; "Normal active wear" would have been my choice of words; Not "beat up". The case has rather normal active wear and is quite easily refurbishable to good presentable condition; If a person even wanted to do that; Leaving it as it is would be all original with normal average use wear. |

Tuners need overhauling or replacing. The tuners buttons are deteriorated and useless, and 3 no longer exist, ....as is common with old tuners. 2 tuner ferrules are missing. 1 tuner string shaft is missing. ~~~ New vintage type tuner sets are readily available as are replacement ferrules. ~~~ To repair this Steel's original tuners: Tuner buttons are readily available and rather easy for a reasonably able craftsman to replace. New tuner buttons will antique if desired by soaking them in a cup of strong black coffee for a couple of days to the shade of antiquing desired, then rinsing in water. Soaking in brown fabric dye will also produce similar results. Sets of new ferrules are readily available and will antique by soaking in a cup of coca-cola overnight and then rinsing with water. String posts can often be found in guitar stores' / shops' guitar repair tech's old parts bins (they save even every spare / surplus screw accumulated, collected, etc). ~~~ I will replace these tuners and ferrules with new replacements, and antique them if a Customer desires, for $35; And will keep these old tuner parts in my parts bin. |

This Steel's volume and tone knobs are not original. If a Buyer desires, I will replace the knobs with era correct knobs much like the originals ....at no charge to Buyer. |
