Replacing pickup height adjustment tensioner tubes:
V
Notice below that before replacing the tensioner tubes;  when the pickup height screw was turned counter-clockwise the height adjustment tensioners should have pushed the pickup downward away from the electronics plate, but didn't;  Instead the screw simply raised out of it's plate hole without pushing the pickup downward.
So I removed the old rubber tensioners and replaced them with fresh surgical rubber hose tubes.  Here are the old ones removed.
Here we can see the old black rubber tube tensioners.

Here is a closer look should anyone want to replicate original tensioners on their Guyatone.  Fuel line hose is too stiff but suitable hose could likely be found during a visit to a well stocked hardware store or a car parts store, that has a rack of black hose of different consistencies / hardness / softness.
Here is the old and new tensioner tubes.  Since the old ones have lost their resiliency, the length of the new ones must be judged.  Unless there is some reason not to, I cut such tubes a bit longer than estimated because I can always trim some off as I did these, which is much easier than having to cut new pieces because the first were too short.  They must be long enough to provide pressure tension with the pickup at it's normal far-most adjustment, yet soft and resilient enough to compress in the opposite direction without too much deformation.  I used stainless washers between the hose and the pickups threaded ear, so that the hose would not ride up around the screw hole ear.
Here we can see the installed tubes well, as well as the original foam rubber bumpers glued to the bottom of the pickups.  Notice that the rubber tubes compression on the stainless washers stabilizes the tubes shape and thus stabilizes the pickup from rattle much better than springs do.
Yessiree;  Now the pickups go downward and the screw remains flush with the plate when the screw is turned out.  ~~~  Strings Ground wire routed thru a hole in the plate to sandwich under bridge.
