1966 Kay Silvertone model 1413
Rare "paddle" headstock -- DeArmond "cheese grater" pickup

The model 1413 ran from 1963 through 1966.  The very last of the 1413's in 1966 sported this deco "paddle" headstock;  A rare axe ....especially for head hunting / head cutting !  Tone   to   the   bone !

The raucus DeArmond "cheese grater" pickup and vibe of these guitars are a ball to play, especially at gigs where raucus tones can really come alive in their element.  Katy bar the door !

THE PREVIOUS OWNER REPORTED:  This is an amazing 60's style vintage Silvertone Electric Guitar with single pickup, volume knob, and tone knob.  This color is turqoise.  There is minor paint damage as you can see in the pic.  The damage does not go below the paint level.  The upper plastic twisting knob portion of the D string tuner is missing, (which) can be cheaply replaced.  These are the only flaws with the guitar.  The mechanical / electrical condition is in excellent working condition.  A great collectible.
