Aloha Hawaii Lap Steel

(Denny's Report):
A wonderful specimen of early electric Hawaiian (Lap) Steel Guitars.
Wonderfully warm, early DeArmond "motel soap bar" aka "hershey bar" pickup.
Translucent red tuners and matching ornate Lucite pickguard.
Classic pineapple shape true to period Hawaiiana.
Hawaii Coat of Arms logo on headstock.
In Excellent, patina'ed condition.

This is a wood bodied, very ornate, early Hawaiian Steel Guitar.  It is one of my very favorite Lap Steels;  It's got affectionate mana (Hawiian for soul / spirit).  The tone is wonderfully warm, compressed and dynamic with the early DeArmond "motel soap bar" pickups; The same famous pickups used on Harmony Stratotones.  The translucent red-knobbed Kluson Deluxe tuners are in excellent condition.  I don't think the control knobs are original, unless someone beat Leo to the flat top Tele knobs!  A set of original control knobs would put this Steel into 99% condition.  I have a decent collection of vintage knobs and would be delighted to install knobs of this Steel's era that appear best to me.

One tuner shaft slightly bent.  I will be delighted to professionally bend it back straight if a Buyer desires.
