The blue specks in this photo are ghost specks that appeared when I tried to sharpen the image during processing to upload:
The frets show very little if any wear past the 4th fret, ...meaning this guitar likely had only 1 playing owner before I purchased it; And the playing / wear on the first 4 frets is minimal; Meaning the owner was playing only open chords, ...but he / she sure was trying hard, as we'll see on following pages:
Black finish on a guitar is very difficult to get details in a photograph.  Like the rest of the guitar this neck has it's fair share of nominal dings, mars and scratches; About what you'd expect to see on a beginner's guitar that was laid around a house in the last places it was played:
Notice the streak just to the inside of the bass bout tuners.  It is not a cracked joint, ... it's caused by paint not adhering to the joint as the 2 sides of the joint aged differently over time.  Pressed-in ferrules add to the earlier said perplexity of the tail piece, ...in that Coral's last-year runs of economy versions of some of their guitar models usually didn't have any tuner shaft bushing ferrules.  The neck nut's excellent condition also shows that this guitar was not played very much.
